Freelance WritingEdit

Freelance writing is the act of writing for a company, individual, or publishing company without being an employee of that particular entity. Freelance writers are people who are self-employed writers who work without any type of long-term commitment to a particular person, business, or entity. There are several fields where freelance writing is booming, the biggest one being online through blogs, articles, ebooks, and other marketing areas.

Payment for freelance writing is normally collected by the writer themselves. The pay will vary greatly from one writing gig to another, anywhere from the higher paying projects that can pay $1.00 US per word to those that don't pay anything at all. Some freelance writers charge their clients by the hour, by the page, by the word, or by the project itself; it all is determined by the writer themselves.
